So I take Ashley into the doctor last night because the 'slight' cough she showed up with from her mother's house turned into a nasty cough within hours. She has bronchitis... again. This is the 3rd time she has had it in four months!! I often wonder how she can leave our home perfectly healthy, and in the course of 3 days be returned to us sick as a dog?!?!? It's frustrating, and more than anything, I feel so bad for her.
This time she needed a shot in her bum. Needless to say, she was terrified. The nurse took WAY too long to come in so Ash worked herself up so much so that she was freaking out when the needle pusher showed up. I had to hold her down and it was awful. I did the whole " I'm gonna count to 3" bit while when I was on 1 the nurse shoved in the needle. She didn't even feel the shot, ut during her breathing treatment she cried. It was horrible to see my girl trying to act so tough, yet tears were slowly streaming down her face. So naturally, when she cries...I cry. Obviously I couldn't let her see it, so when I got home and was telling Austin how everything went, I cried during the part that I had to tell him that I had to hold her down. I'm a wimp, I know
